Gillis & George Poll are restauranteurs who grew up in Manhasset, New York. They have been establishing distinctive restaurants for over 30 years. They come from a New York City based, food service, family business dating back to the 1920s. They branched off on their own in 1980 when they opened Pappas Restaurant in Williston Park, Long Island which later became Riverbay Seafood Bar & Grill.
Gillis and George Poll learned from their father about quality and freshness of the food they served. They wanted to offer the best of the “basics”: a great steak, fresh grilled fish, vegetables at their peak to complement the main dishes. An extensive wine list for even the most discerning palates rounds out the experience.
