Mercer Kitchen

The Matador Bar

Proprietors: Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and Phil Suarez. Situated in the heart of Soho, Mercer Kitchen is a casual restaurant buzzing with a vibrant downtown crowd. Here, you will find world renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten take on Contemporary American classics, with a few Asian dishes in-between. Complete with a rawbar and an open kitchen, it’s the perfect start… or end… to a night on the town. The atmosphere of dining in a casual family kitchen is created by communal dining tables and a spacious open kitchen plan.

Cocktails

The bar at the Mercer Kitchen also features a diverse collection of artfully crafted specialty cocktails like the Rasberry-Lychee Bellini and the Vodka Thyme Lemonade.

Jean-Georges

Though Jean-Georges Vongerichten is one of the world’s most famous chefs, his skills extend far beyond the kitchen. A savvy businessman and restaurateur, Jean-Georges is responsible for the operation and success of a constellation of three and four star restaurants worldwide.

Atmosphere

Exposed brick walls, long banquettes, and candlelit sconces give the place a timelessly stylish, sexy, fun ambiance. Mercer Kitchen was one of the first restaurants in New York City to have a communal table, which remains popular to this day.
