AAHS WELCOMES KEVIN R. DUNN AS ITS NEWLY APPOINTED EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT AND INTERNATIONAL TRUSTEE

Recognized for his distinguished contributions to the global hospitality industry, Dunn joins the Academy’s prestigious board to help further its mission of excellence and integrity worldwide.

The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS) is proud to announce Mr. Kevin R. Dunn as the newly appointed Executive Vice President officially as of September 1, 2025. With an impressive background in leadership, strategic development, finance/insurance and global hospitality. Mr. Dunn brings a wealth of experience and a visionary approach to the Academy’s mission of recognizing excellence in the hospitality industry.
Mr. Kevin R. Dunn, a graduate of LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, began his career in 1993 in the insurance and health administration industry. Trained initially as an actuary/health underwriter, Kevin became Vice President of Summit Health Administrators in 1997; one of the largest Third-Party Administrators on the Eastern Seaboard at that time for health and hospital administration. In 1999, Kevin was promoted to Executive Vice President of Summit as well as became the Executive Vice President of TBGUSA, a mid-sized regional insurance firm, which he partially founded and grew to over $8,000,000 in agency commissions within 3 years. By 2006, Kevin began a new venture called Cross-Summit Enterprises where he was part of a team that built the first hybrid major medical program in the United States which grew to over $250,000,0000 in annualized premium by 2010.
In 2012, Mr. Dunn left the insurance industry and became CEO of CEO Clubs, Inc., a nationwide CEO think tank and networking group of 2,000 CEOs from around the world. He has sat on several boards during his career which include the Archdiocese of New York Catholic Charities, Cathedral College Trustee Board as well as each of his own businesses.
In 2016, he was recruited to take over the US Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the world’s largest food and wine society with over 20,000 members worldwide and 5,000 members in the United States as its Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer which he administered along with its two Foundations: The Chaîne Foundation and Académie Brillat-Savarin for nearly 9 years.
In this capacity Mr. Dunn formed lifelong relationships with Chefs, Restaurateurs, Hoteliers, Wineries, and Travel & Luxury companies. In addition, he was honored by the American Academy of Chefs as an honorary member for his contributions to the development of young chefs.
Mr. Dunn has decided to step down from his role at the Chaîne as of July 31st, 2025, and starts his new venture as the Executive Vice President of The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences and Star Diamond Companies.
