Hacienda Laborcilla

A Journey Through Time
in the Heart of Querétaro Mexico

In the historic heart of Querétaro stands an eighteenth-century estate where stone walls hold over two hundred years of heritage. Once a vital granary for the region, the hacienda was meticulously restored over five years under the supervision of Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH). Today, this cultural landmark serves as a living museum, blending colonial architecture with a vast collection of over forty sculptures—many of which are authorized reproductions of works from the Louvre—creating a narrative that spans the great civilizations of the Mediterranean and the ancient East.

Dining at Hacienda Laborcilla is an immersive experience that transcends the traditional restaurant visit. The culinary philosophy is defined by a sophisticated fusion of French, Mexican, Italian, and Asian influences, anchored by the technical depth of classic French cuisine. With an uncompromising commitment to quality, the kitchen sources the finest international beef and American Wagyu, paired with exceptional local produce. From breakfast through dinner, every element—including all house-made breads, pastries, and ice creams—is crafted with absolute conviction.

Located within the historic center of Querétaro, México, the hacienda offers a rare escape into a space where time feels suspended. The property is designed not as a stage set, but as a restoration of architectural integrity, featuring original colonial arches and passageways. The atmosphere is elevated by an extraordinary collection of classical art, including the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the Venus de Milo, which transform the venue into a site of profound historical and cultural significance.

The beverage program is anchored by a cellar of over four hundred labels from the world’s most celebrated wine regions, earning the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2025 and 2026, as well as inclusion in the 2026 Star Wine List. Guests can enjoy rare vintages by the glass via Coravin, allowing for the sampling of exceptional bottles at any time. Complementing the wine program is The Carter Bar, an Egyptian-inspired sanctuary named for Howard Carter. The bar serves an exquisite array of rare spirits, ranging from barrel-aged mezcals, raicilla, and sotol to fine European Armagnacs, Calvados, and rare Japanese whiskies.
