Culinary gem hidden in the French Polonaise

Lagoon Restaurant by Jean-Georges is The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort’s exclusive signature restaurant. Considered by many as Bora Bora’s top dining experience, tasting the unique French-and-Asian melding of cuisines created by Jean-Georges Vongerichten is truly a world-class dining experience. And while the cuisine is spectacular, the view from this overwater restaurant is truly breathtaking. Glance below your feet as well, for the floors of Lagoon’s terrace and dining room feature long glass panels that offer a window into the black-tip sharks who make their home in the enclosed water park underneath the restaurant. Mythic Mount Otemanu looms up outside the glassed walls that reflect the turquoise waters of the famed Bora Bora lagoon; look closely and you just might see nurse sharks move majestically past your window seat. The overwater terrace is the perfect place to admire the unforgettable sunset.

Cuisine

The dishes reflect Vongerichten’s Thai French style. Start with bacon wrapped shrimp with passion fruit mustard atop slices of fresh avocado. Follow that up with the exotic spiced chicken with coconut caramel sauce and a citrus salad. Vongerrichten flies in every few months to introduce the new menus.
