— River Yacht Club (RYC) is a unique and visionary waterfront venture in the heart of the burgeoning historic Miami River District featuring two fine dining restaurants, a stunning outdoor garden and lounge and marina. RYC is a lifestyle destination that combines gastronomy, entertainment, maritime activities and art into one special retreat for all urbanites.
— To elevate the innovative and creative approach to the restaurant’s epicurean profile, RYC’s culinary ideology revolves around its seasonally driven menus executed by a stellar roster of rotating, in-residence chefs.
— RYC is open to the public; however, there is a membership component, which grants members preferred reservations, docking privileges and access to invite-only club events.
— A native of Korea and graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Chef Lee is a multi-faceted virtuoso; as adept at high volume kitchen operations as he is at the style of precise opulence and food service he practiced during his close to eight years at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. There he achieved the position of Chef de Cuisine and saw the restaurant earn a Michelin Star.
Resume highlights include, most recently, a stint with celebrated chef/restaurateur Michael Mina at his acclaimed Fontainebleau Miami Beach concepts as well as Pebble Beach’s Club XIX and Marinus at the upscale Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley, California. His specialization in French, American and Asian cooking will be particularly useful at River Yacht Club where the menus offerings are generously inspired by classic American as well as French Mediterranean cookery.
— RYC’s modern design, envisioned and developed by renowned Stephane Dupoux, pays homage to land and sea and is seamlessly integrated into the restored Mediterranean amphitheater-inspired courtyard that surrounds it. The landscape design is the work of internationally recognized landscape architect, Raymond Jungles. Simple, unexpected and sophisticated maritime touches throughout the venue preserve the boating culture that defines RYC’s DNA. The restaurant’s design features subtle maritime references including color palette, materials, ornamental details and other visual nods to the immediate environment. The venue offers endless options for Miami’s diverse community of food connoisseurs, boating enthusiasts and those who seek an environment that’s ideal for dining, entertaining and converging.
